I burned one of mine so you don't have to. Unfortunately, I have encountered brands in the past that falsely claim silk and honestly it can be very hard to tell, other than lighting them on fire.It passes the test - burns to crumbly ash, rather than melting into stringy plastic goop. I strongly suspected it was real silk based on the feeling but it's always hard to be sure, and I intend to use these while doing fire spinning, so it is important to rule out synthetic materials to avoid worst-case scenarios (burning your hair would not be fun in the first place, getting molten plastic onto yourself, even less fun).As scrunchies they're pretty nice! The silk texture is good for not snagging, but it's not too slippery and should stay put, good elasticity to them as well. I like the variety of colors (came with five different ones and I burned one of the two duplicates). I would say these seem reasonably priced at $16/6 or $2.67 each if you are intent on getting silk scrunchies in particular.

These are my go to tieing very nicely around hair just love these not causing any bumps or frizz leaving behind only lovely locks. Glad coming in more color choices than black so can match with wardrobe which my favorite is the mint green of these.
